2018 Poggio Anima Primitivo

Opaque ruby. Smoked meat, dried cherry, cracked pepper, and cassis on the deeply scented nose. Medium to full-bodied with berry cobbler flavors showing a liqueur-like intensity with an anise note coming up with air. The smoke and cassis notes carry through on the finish, which features dusty tannins. A wine of real intensity and concentration given the price point.

2018 Disciples Red Blend Napa

93 Points from Robert Parker: "A blend of 76% Zinfandel, 13% Charbono, 6% Grenache and 5% Petite Sirah, the 2016 Disciples is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with gorgeous notions of hoisin, Black Forest cake, prunes and potpourri with hints of black pepper, unsmoked cigars and cloves. Full-bodied, rich, opulent and oh-so-spicy, it fills the palate with decadent fruit and a plush texture, finishing with a lively lift."

Riesling

2019 Lietz Dragonstone Riesling

While Johannes’ dry wines solidified his reputation in Germany and throughout Europe, no other wine made him as popular in the US as did Dragonstone. Coming from the Rüdesheimer Drachenstein, the pure quartzite soil, being a silicate, lends a saltiness to the orange citrus-flavored wine which buffers the acidity and counterbalances the palpable sugar.

2019 Oynos Pinot Grigio

An organic PG from Sicily, this wine has fresh and luscious fruity aromas of apple and pear with a hint of citrus fruit and flowers. On the palate medium acidity, nice minerality, some yellow apple notes, dry and focused. Ideal for quaffing on its own while gardening or enjoying with lighter fare.

2018 Don Ramon Tinto

Ruby dark garnet in color, with an effusive creamy cherry cough drop and aquarium nose; flavors turn more toward deeper, darker black cherry and raspberry on a medium to medium full bodied frame, with moderate tannins and balanced acidity. A subtle earthiness underneath the bright fruit adds some depth and complexity, making for a harmonious glass of red wine."

2016 Bodegas Aragonesas Centenaria Garnacha

Deep ruby red in color, this wine offers intense fruity aromas with notes of toast and spices. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, rich and lingering. Very balanced with a long finish.
